Vouchers are sold by a third party company and subject to their terms and conditions. They have a fixed validity period after which they are non-refundable.  Upon receipt of your voucher, book in with one of our experienced instructors;  we will need your weight and a contact telephone number.  We are open 7 days a week, flying between 10am and 4pm, subject to availability. If the weather is unsuitable, we will rearrange your booking so that you get the most favourable conditions to fly in. Due to our lease expiring, Aeromega Helicopters can only offer availability at Cambridge Airport up until 31st October 2019, after which date an alternative location must be sought.

If you can book in to take your lesson before 31st October 2019, we’ll be happy fulfil your voucher. On arrival, you will need to hand over your voucher and we will ask you to fill in a form with some personal details. Your instructor will give you a safety briefing and explain how to use the controls.

Your instructor will start the helicopter, taxi, take-off and climb to a safe altitude. As soon as possible you will be using one of the controls, we aim that you should be flying for at least 85% of the flight time.  Normally the first half of the lesson is in the local area at an altitude between 1,000 & 2,000 feet. After that we return to the airfield and you can try your hand at hovering and low level manoeuvres.

After landing and shutdown, there will be an opportunity to have your photo taken with the helicopter (and instructor) and we will present you with a souvenir log book as a record of your achievement.

Flights are generally may be taken in the R22 – two seat helicopter subject to weight restrictions.  You will be required to declare your weight accurately and we reserve the right to check it on the scales to ensure the helicopter will be within the manufacturer’s limits.

If you are slightly heavier (over 15 stone) or wish to take some family with you on your flight, we can use the R44 four seat helicopter which will allow up to two adults to sit in the back whilst you fly.  Click here for prices.
