Hopefully their achievements will inspire you to pursue your ambition and we will be only too pleased to help you achieve your dream of becoming a helicopter pilot.
Capt. Alasdair Auchnicloss
Ali was a key member of the Aeromega Team from 2009 to 2012. He began his PPL training in South Africa and completed it with us at Aeromega. He then passed his CPL Modular and FIC with us. Not only did he become an excellent instructor, but was very talented behind a camera and on a laptop with his post production skills. Much of our highly professional website content has been produced by him. We are delighted for him that he is now a Captain for the Air Ambulance Service covering all bases across the South of England Redhill. We are very proud of his achievement. Capt. Ben Cinque – Ben has been connected to Aeromega for many years having trained, worked as an instructor and as a Commercial Pilot with us until 2004. After that he worked in both Police and Air Ambulance roles and in 2008 began flying servicing the North Sea Oil rigs out of Norwich. Ben has flown all sizes of helicopter including the R22, R44, B206, EC120, AS355, EC135, MD902, S76 and the SuperPuma. He is now a Commercial pilot operating onshore in the Corporate sector out of Oxford.
Capt. Paul Harris – After completing his CPL Modular and Flying Instructor’s course with Aeromega, Paul spent some time flying an AS 350 in Ghana, then emigrated to the USA where he worked as an instructor in California on both the R22 and R44. He now flies the Grand Canyon tourist trips in a Bell Longranger.
Capt. Steve Dean – Steve passed his instructor rating in 2008. He worked relentlessly to develop a customer base at Hawarden and Kemble. Having passed his ATPL at Oxford, he went on to fly an Agusta 109 for a private owner and now has a role flying a twin squirrel for PDG in Scotland.
Capt. Hallvar Frey – Coming from Norway, Hallvar not only completed the instructor’s course with flying colours but did so in a foreign language! Not content with already being able to speak Norwegian, Swedish, English and French, he then moved to Mallorca where he has since learned Spanish and now instructs largely in German. As you can see, Hallvar has to put up with flying in all sorts of weather!
Capt Richard Maddever
Richard was our youngest ever PPL and quickly progressed taking our CPL Modular course. He has established himself in the helicopter survey industry monitioring the gas pipeline. In this role, he has been able to fly over every corner of the UK mainland and has a vast knowledge of places to get fuel and the best cooked breakfast.
Capt. Tim Gilbert
Tim completed his FIC with us has worked with us as a an FI (R) to enable him to complete his upgrade. He is now a fully fledged (unrestricted) Flying Instructor and is a crucial member of the team. He has a particular love of the R44 and was the driving force in organising last year’s Lands End to John O’Groats in a Day trip!
